Anyone know of any grants or scholarship websites for students wanting to go to a private high school?

I know this boy and all he wants to do is go to a private Catholic High School because of disabilities and his parents do not want to tell him he can’t go because of money problems. However, all the scholarships and grants online are for colleges. Are there ANY out there for High School?

Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund. They’re great. They even paid for me to take the ISEE exam, which is necessary for some private schools here in Illinois. their site is dmsf.org

Also, if you’re in 7th grade, you might want to look into the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. Jackkentcookefoundation.org

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

If there’s a specific school he’s looking at try to contact them; many tiems the schools themselves will offer financial aide. I know they also will sometimes pay full tuition if the child will join a sports/academic team. Those might be things you want to look into.

Contact the high school, they should have an advisor able to help you. When I graduated 8th grade, I asked for (and was awarded) scholarships to 3 different private, Catholic high schools. This was not financial aid, it was an actual scholarship. However, they may be able to offer financial aid as well, depending on the school.

You can go to

Or any other ways to make money for school. I cannot get financial aid or take out loans.

FastWeb.com– It’s an awesome scholarship website that will find scholarships most appropriate for you.

University of pheonix.com

Here are the websites that I recommend:
www.fastweb.com
www.sholarshiphunter.com

You could also get books that talk about scholarships and ways you can improve your chances of winning them. These books you can buy or check out from your local library. The books I recommend;
By Gen and Kelly Tanabe "Get Free Cash for College-2007"
Peterson's "Scholarship, Grants, and Prizes"

Also, visit your school's career center, and talk to the advisor there about scholarships that he/she recommends for you. Hope this helps, good luck with your search.
