That looks like the mobi-cam. We bought that model and got a refurbished model that had a broken dial and then Amazon replaced that one with another but it simply did not work properly..If you choose this model be careful if you live in a high traffic area with lots of wireless connections, concrete buildings, etc. Ours had a lot of white noise and a rolling line in the screen…which I was told was caused by interference but who knows. The white noise was very very loud. I scoured over tons and tons of reviews and many people complained about the mobi-cam. It also is a battery eater – no recharchable batteries. We sent the second Mobi back and decided to go with the Sony Baby Call 27 channel monitor – no video but it has great sound quality, its recharchable, and we are pleased and it was much cheaper…If you chose to buy mobi make sure the dealer has a good return policy.

We have a 5 year old son and a baby on the way. Are there any baby monitors that can be used to monitor both rooms? I do not really need video, only audio. But I would like something that is very secure as we live in a large development and I do not want anyone listening in. I have Graco and it suites my needs. Don’t get a cheap one because the sound and clarity are fuzzy. Go more towards the higher end brands. If you try one for a week and decide that it does not suit your needs, simply return or exchange it for a replacement.

Also how would a second play pen in a different room or baby gate work out for you? That may be able to separate them for the times when you need it.

We have the Summer video/sound monitor and LOVE it! The monitor, though, is pretty big and plugs in so I ‘m not sure how portable we’re talking. I think they make the same monitor in a smaller handheld, but I can vouch for the quality since I have never tried it, but I love the big one so I’m sure it would work great!

I went out and planned every last product to put into my nursery: $ 200 bassinette, expensive travel system, breast pump set, sounds n lights baby monitor (fisher-price) etc. He won’t sleep in the bassinette, the travel system is nice but the stroller that went with it is so big and bulky and so inconvenient and heavy to unload that I never us it. I used the breast pump only a few times because my milk didn’t come in properly. The monitor is rarely used because I carry the baby with me everywhere in the house (in his carrier) but sometimes when I have the right batteries for it, I use it when I am outside visiting neighbors. I guess my point in saying all of this is that I think you should wait until the baby comes and you know for sure what will work for you and also you won’t waste a lot of time and money on stuff that you regret and never use.

Well, android is competitively best than symbian . So a definite no-no for nokia. Motorola defy is dust proof, scratch proof. But what it isn’t is makes a huge difference. Its not future proof. It comes with android 2.1 for gods sake. But if you are a ruff user and still if considering nokia/symbian, then defy is far better. But ace will be the clear winner. But when I turned the Mac back on it started acting up. I could select stuff on the desktop and I could open folders and files, but I can’t move them around by drag and drop. I don’t know how else to mpve stuff to my external hard drive. I have used this external with this Mac several times before and never had this problem.

Also, I’m getting an error on iTunes. It says iTunes can’t open because of unexpected error 13014.

If it matters I have the 13″ white macbook with osx 10.4 snow leopard.
