Q&A: Am I eligible for a student version of office for mac?

I am home-schooled and I go to a community college is Los Angeles for high school credit. I currently take 7 units at the college. I’m 16. Am I eligible for a student discount of Microsoft office 2011 for mac?

ELfaGeek:Talk to your school’s IT staff. They will know if you qualify, and how to get the discount.

OR:

It shouldn’t matter what courses you take, as long as you have a College Email Address, according to this link:

maliboo_girl:I think the current Office mac “student” version is meant for home and student use, and you can get it for $ 150 from apple.com for a 3 license version, if you want to use it at home as the same time as siblings or parents. I’ve seen the single license version for $ 120 on websites. You don’t need to qualify for the purchase.

You can get a standard version of Office for $ 95 with the CD from some online stores, and you would qualify to buy it as a high school student. Apparently, Microsoft has eased up quite a bit! They used to be very strict about college students only. I’ve ordered from here before:

If your parents work in an office that updated Office recently, see if they were offered Office for their home computers at a big discount. My dh uses PC’s at his office, but we have only Mac’s at home. He was able to buy Office for Mac, 3 License, for like $ 10 online through a special program.

Good luck!
